The State of Florida has implemented a statewide voter registration system effective January 1, 2006. A Florida resident may register to vote at any location throughout the State using the Florida Voter Registration Application Form. The voter's county of registration will be decided by his or her residence address within the state. Once registered in the State of Florida, if a voter moves to another address within Florida, a change of address may be submitted even if the voter crosses into another county. The deadline for a new Florida voter registration is always 29 days before the upcoming election.
To register to vote, a person must: 
Be a citizen of the United States
Be a Florida resident
Be 18 years old (you may pre-register if you are 17)
Not now be adjudicated mentally incapacitated with respect to voting in Florida or any other state
Not have been convicted of a felony in Florida, or any other state, without your civil rights having been restored
Provide your current and valid Florida driver's license number or Florida identification card number. If you do not have a current and valid Florida driver's license or Florida Identification card, you must provide the last four digits of your Social Security number. If you do not have a FL DL#, FL ID Card#, or SSN, then you must indicate so when filling our your application
by writing NONE in the space provided.
